Chopta Tungnath (Chandrashila)
🏔️ The Chopta-Tungnath-Chandrashila group package offers an immersive journey through the "Mini Switzerland of India," primarily focusing on reaching the highest Shiva temple in the world. This expedition typically begins with a scenic drive from Delhi or Rishikesh, passing through sacred river confluences like Devprayag and Rudraprayag before reaching the base camp at Chopta. The core of the adventure involves an easy-to-moderate trek to the Tungnath Temple at 3,680 meters, followed by a summit climb to Chandrashila Peak at approximately 4,000 meters, which rewards travelers with 360-degree views of Himalayan giants like Nanda Devi and Chaukhamba. Many itineraries also include a serene visit to Deoriatal Lake to witness the stunning reflections of the mountain ranges in its crystal-clear waters. Designed for accessibility, these packages generally provide shared accommodation in Swiss tents or cottages, guide services, and most meals, making it an ideal choice for beginners and photography enthusiasts alike.
