Day-wise Itinerary
Arrive at Chennai Airport/Railway Station. After hotel check-in, dive into the city’s heritage. Visit the Kapaleeshwarar Temple to see its vibrant Dravidian gopuram, followed by the neo-Gothic San Thome Basilica. Spend your evening at Marina Beach, the second-longest urban beach in the world, and watch the city come alive at sunset.
Check out and drive to Mahabalipuram. Spend the morning exploring the Shore Temple, the unique Pancha Rathas (monolithic chariots), and the massive bas-relief of Arjuna’s Penance. Don’t forget a photo op at Krishna’s Butter Ball, a giant boulder that defies gravity. In the afternoon, continue your scenic drive to Pondicherry.
Explore the charming White Town with its mustard-yellow colonial buildings and bougainvillea-draped lanes. Visit the Sri Aurobindo Ashram for a moment of quiet reflection. Later, drive to Auroville, the "City of Dawn." View the iconic golden Matrimandir from the viewing point. End your day with a walk along the Promenade Beach (Rock Beach) or visit the Sacred Heart Basilica.
After breakfast, visit the serene Chunnambar Boat House for a boat ride to the secluded Paradise Beach. Enjoy the white sands and turquoise waters before heading back. In the afternoon, you will be transferred back to Chennai Airport/Railway Station for your journey home.
